During events, we use the web tool “CESAH Live Voting” for anonymous mood and opinion polling.

The tool is accessed via a link or QR code in a web browser.

No real names, email addresses, or user accounts are collected when using the tool. Votes are processed only as aggregated totals per response option (e.g., thumbs up/thumbs down or red/blue). Individual votes are not intended to be attributable to specific persons.

For technical operation, required connection data may be processed on the server side (e.g., IP address, timestamp, requested page), insofar as necessary for secure operation and delivery of the website.

On the voting page, the browser stores locally whether a vote has already been submitted for the current poll to prevent multiple votes from the same browser (local storage). This information remains on the user’s device.

Voting data is used solely for the respective polling purpose during the event and is not further processed for other purposes after the poll ends.

No data is shared with third parties.

Legal basis for processing is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in efficient, anonymous event polling) and, where use is required internally, additionally Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of organizational measures).

Data subject rights (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection) apply within the statutory framework. The responsible entity is the contact stated in the legal notice (Imprint).
