The ESA Business Incubation Centre (BIC) network was set up by the European Space Agency (ESA) to support entrepreneurs with a space based business idea. With over 20 centres spread across Europe ESA BICs are the largest network of space incubators in Europe, offering a strong international community to their incubatees.

All ESA BICs are managed by local champions who connect their ESA BICs to the local communities and provide commercial and technical assistance to the incubated start-ups.

cesah, the centre for satellite navigation Hesse in Darmstadt, has been entrusted with the management of the ESA BIC Hessen (formerly ESA BIC Darmstadt) since 2007.
